iRobot requires a method of testing new cleaning modules other than the expensive and time-consuming process of retrofitting current Roombas. This can be accomplished through a mobility test platform that needs to match the same design as a Roomba. The only change that needs to be made is the height and angle of the cleaning unit. Therefore,  the weight, drivetrain, size, and center of gravity need to be the same as the Roomba 600 series.
